Everyone you know probably uses chrome extensions, they're what make chrome so good! For productivity, entertainment, and more! So today I'm gonna show you 10 great Chrome Extensions that you'll love!
Momentum
Firstly there is momentum. Yes this is overrated, but it's still an extension worth mentioning. Momentum gives you a new tab UI which delivers a high quality background image, an inspiring quote, and a main goal and to-do checklist daily. You can choose to remove any of these elements if needed as well as customize them in a brilliant settings Interface. The reason I prefer this over other new tab extensions, is cause momentum look pretty clean and satisfying instead of clunked up. And the quotes + to do list, really help my productivity and motivation.
2. Grammarly
Something that's also popular is Grammarly, This is a great tool for anyone who writes, whether it's books, scripts, or anything, Grammarly has got your back, with it you can easily correct spelling and sentence structure mistakes, if you tap on the Grammarly icon, it'll show all improvements that can be made, to make what you're saying sound, clear, engaging, and professional. Which is something I definitely need when making scripts, blog posts and e-mails. Contrary to it's ads, grammarly is definitely ever useful tool
Secondly we have Grammarly, a spell checker and a tool that'll improve your grammar and spelling. While you're writing on anywhere, whether it's an e-mail, article, or script, Grammarly will show you what words you can add, remove, or change to make a more appealing sentence. I use this all the time, and it is seriously so useful. It can even detect what tones you're using in your writing. Which I find to be great, as I utilize it to give a certain tone when writing/talking in these videos/posts. Grammarly definitely opposes it's annoying ads.
3. AdBlock
Speaking of annoying ads, our next extension is adblock. It pretty much blocks every advertisement you see, even the ones before a YouTube Videos! Ou of all the other adblockers Adblock is the most popular and top-rated, making it pretty trustworthy. To activate or diminish the ad-blocking, you have to press the extension, and select enable, or disable on this website! I really hope this one helps!
Speaking of annoying ads, to avoid them, all you need to do is have AdBlock Plus, this blocks pretty much every ad there is, and you can even disable it if wanted on some websites. So those advertisements you watch before your selected video on YouTube will be gone, thus saving a lot of time. This definitely is an extension you want to have regardless of who you are!
4.YouTube Party
So of course you've heard of YouTube. That's probably how you're watching/seeing this post in the first place. Well YouTube party is a way to watch YouTube with your friends synchronized online! To use this all you have to do is press the extension, copy it, and send it to your friends! Then once they click it, it'll show that they've joined! You can even pause and play, and it'll also do the same on their window. In addition to that, you also have a chat bubble where you can interact with them! I love to use this extension all the time in Lockdown.
5. Google Dictionary
All though this does seem lame, google dictionary is pretty good, it's made by google themselves so it's pretty trustworthy as well! This is self explanatory. It's a dictionary from google's results, all you have to do is highlight a word, and tap on the extension button, then press define. I try to read a lot on the internet, and this can really save time.
6.Boxel Rebound
Moving on to the entertainment side of things, boxel rebound is probably what I'd call the best game extension. If you've heard of geometry dash, this will be familiar, you practically have to jump above or between obstacles and try not to fall or die. There are many levels and the grind is tough. But you can also create your own levels and challenge friends. Overall I'd highly suggest boxel rebound to anybody.
7.Stylish
This is seriously a unique and under-rated extension. Stylish practically can give you cool backgrounds/themes for specific websites that you want. To enable a theme, find it on the stylish website or click on find more themes for this website after pressing the extension button. Then find a theme you like, and install it. I personally love this Nyan Cat one on YouTube and this Netflix color one. I don't know why Stylish is rarely used, as it deserves so much more attention.
8.VeePN
VeePN, also gives away what it says in it's name. It's a VPN, something that protects you're privacy by changing your locations on multiple websites, for example in the US Netflix there are many more shows, so if you change your location you can get additional titles. And Even though their are many free VPN extensions on chrome, I prefer VeePN because of it's UI, it's pretty seamless to turn it off and change locations. Don't get your hopes up as high as my toxicity levels on a forum though since this won't work on every website, but If you enjoy this a lot and think it's worth paying for, you can also buy the premium version of this extension to get more places to see.
9.ToDoist
Todoist honestly, is pretty similar to VeePN but has a different purpose, it's a to do list. Here you can add tasks to do and even websites to check out later, which I didn't realize I'd be using that much. Here you can also set the Priority, and Project type of your task. You can also schedule tasks for other days also making ToDoist a calendar as well. Why I prefer this over other to do list extensions is because of the Interface, it reminds me of notion, as it isn't distracting or limiting.
10.LastPass
So if you've watched a lot of YouTube a big sponsor usually is LastPlass, and although this isn't sponsored, (companies, hit me up though for additional promotion.) I must say lastpass is one of the best extensions for security. What it does is protect your passwords, with cyber crime on the rise, it's better to use a different password for each website you log into, and even though it's better to do that, many people don't cause it's too hard to remember each password, this is where LastPass comes in, here you can write down all your passwords and for which websites you used them for. Personally, I use a ton of services, so this helps organize things.
Conclusion
Overall these chrome extensions are tremendous, which one was your favorite and why? Lastly I hope this post helped and I'll see ya next time.
